Planning

The project activities start with a software project plan, which aggregates all the information to manage a project efficiently. It is maintained and updated frequently. The plan encompasses project schedule, resource needs, training needs, software resource and hardware resource needs. It also guides in project organization, requirements management, configuration management, Quality Assurance activities and acceptance criteria. Project risks are tracked and mitigated in the plan itself.
